Go Back to Start!

Start

What a great word.

It brings so many positive thoughts...so much ENERGY!.

You are beginning. You have the highest hopes. All things are possible.

So...what to do when your work, your life, your relationships are not exactly how you want them to be...

GO BACK TO START!

Think back to when you first took the job you are in now. How did you feel?

Apprehensive?

Probably

A little scared?

Sure

ENERGIZED!?

Yes!

I don't know of anyone who has not been energized! and excited when they start a new job. You were, weren't you? Somewhere along the way you may lose that energy!.

But it's not that far away.

Go back and relive those days right before you started the new job. You will think about the great plans you had...the change you were going to make. Don't get depressed if it didn't happen exactly the way you thought...you still have time! Just recapture the excitement and energy!. Refocus this energy! into making your original dreams a reality.

This can work in all parts of your life. You want to bring the life, magic and energy! back in your relationship. Think back to what you did when the relationship started. Talk about excitement and energy! You get to do it over again! Wow! How fun can that be!

You can always go back to help you go forward. Recapture the excitement and energy!...

GO BACK TO START!

The Starting Gate

Have you ever watched the Kentucky Derby? While I am not a big horse racing fan I cannot help but get excited as the horses are approaching the starting gate. You know what is getting ready to happen and you know it will be over in just a couple of minutes but during the moments that the horses are loading the sky is still the limit. You don't know who is going to win. All the horses have a chance to have the roses draped over their backs and be declared the best. In the minds eye of the jockey, the owner, the trainer and perhaps even the horse, the winners circle is a certainty. This is how I feel now.

I am The Energizer In Chief. In terms of full disclosure I have to say that I have "borrowed" the title from a man named Bob Stone who worked in government for over 30 years. Take a look here: http://www.govexec.com/dailyfed/0399/031899b1.htm to read a little bit about him. Here is how he answered the question, "What does it mean to be Energizer In Chief":

A:...I decided I really needed to be the energizer-in-chief. That means finding people who are doing the right thing and making a fuss over them, giving them awards, making speeches about how they're making a difference to Americans.

My goal is to take his idea and extend it to all who will listen and put up with me. Energy is lacking in so many people and because of this life is not so much fun for these people. If I can open up some eyes that having energy, expending energy, being around energy can lead to a happier, healthier more fulfilling life...well...that would be just great!

I go by the thought that a person has an impact in this world. It can be either a positive impact or a negative impact depending on the situation. What I would like to do is to reduce the amount of negative impact and greatly swell the force of positive impact. Increasing energy in those around will do this.

So, I am entering the starting gate. Right now I'm Secretariat and you are Affirmed, Alydar, War Admiral, Citation...take your pick...we'll all make it to the winners circle and share those roses!
